Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, made a personal appearance to answer questions about her mother’s campaign platform for professor Lisa Rosen-Lee’s political philosophy class today at the University of Hawai’i West O’ahu campus. After the students’ questions were exhausted, the invitation was extended to the gathered crowd. Clinton talked for an hour, going over her mother’s ideas for universal health care, plans for withdrawal from Iraq, the economy, ecology and support for Hawaiian recognition via the Akaka Bill. At one point, an audience member asked if Clinton had thought about running for office, herself, to which she replied that she is only thinking about supporting her mom, right now, “but thank you!”
