July 6, 2012 we spent traveling from Portland to Bend via Sisters, where we stopped to visit Makoa’s Uncle Ray and Auntie Karen and their family. Ray and Karen are originally from Kailua, now in Sisters. Beautiful snow-capped mountains were everywhere! We were headed to Bend for Peter Thourson’s wedding that night.
